Pearls: Infections and Cancer
PLOS Pathogens presents a collection of Pearls articles that directly addresses how infections and host responses to them interact in both known and novel ways to cause cancer. This collection contains an editorial overview written by the Pearls editors that seeks to highlight the series, alongside Pearls covering wide-ranging topics in this important area. We look forward to the insights that this series of Pearls articles provides, and hope that this serves to stimulate further studies in this area that further advance our understanding of infectious causes and contributions to cancer.
