PLOS ONE 10 Year Anniversary: Datasets

Curated Collections

By sharing their underlying data and related metadata, authors increase the value and impact of their research. Since its inception, PLOS ONE has encouraged data sharing, and in 2014, in keeping with our commitment to openness, reproducibility and scientific progress, the journal began requiring authors to make their data publicly available whenever possible and including a data availability statement at the top of each paper. This collection—assembled by PLOS ONE Senior Editor Meghan Byrne in collaboration with members of the PLOS ONE Editorial Staff, the PLOS ONE Editorial Board and the PLOS-wide Data Advisory Board—highlights studies with noteworthy datasets, across a variety of disciplines, published in PLOS ONE over the last 10 years.
