Influenza
Influenza is an important cause of death and morbidity globally. While vaccination is the best way to prevent influenza virus infection, other pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical strategies can prevent or mitigate the impact of influenza on individuals and the spread within populations. Influenza viruses are continually evolving, posing challenges to vaccination strategies and vaccine development.
In this PLOS ONE collection, our expert guest editors have compiled a selection of research articles that focus on influenza prevention on every level.
